Med.S Acute is a virtual medical administration company, focusing on Medical Secretarial and Practice Management services. Our services include integrated electronic filing solutions, patient-focused service, 11 years' medical administration and billing experience, strong inter-relations with medical schemes, hospital management, and other healthcare practitioners. Our aim is not to replace your current team, but merely to offer an additional professional and effective service, off-site, with salary and other practice expenses at a minimum.
OUR HISTORY
Med.S Acute was established in 2021, during our second wave of the COVID pandemic, by Nell Mare, owner, and secretary to Dr. Thomas Hilton(www.drthilton.com) and Dr. Neil Kruger(www.drneilkruger.com). During these difficult and uncertain times, a virtual opportunity for secretarial services for medical practices arose. This enabled the administrative staff to stay home and be safe, but still deliver a professional, efficient, and effective service to practices. Nell, who was an assistant and operational manager of a bespoke billing bureau company for almost 10 years, started working as a secretary for Dr. Thomas Hilton (Sarcoma and Joint Reconstruction Surgeon) in Cape Town. When the pandemic hit March 2020, we had to implement remote and virtual plans quickly and efficiently for the practice to still run smoothly, whilst working from home. As a result, this became the new ‘normal’. Dr. Neil Kruger (Hand and Upper Limb Specialist) also joined our team and Nell has successfully run two Orthopaedic Practices. The amount of passion, love, loyalty, and hours Nell has put into this, have reaped fruitful harvests. 11 Years of experience in the medical administration industry, such as billing of different specialist accounts, managing practices, strong relationships with fund managers, and two Diplomas in Management, as well as a SAMA billing certificate and Spesnet ICD 10 certificate, have proven success and ease of mind to our Doctors and patients.
